Richard launched In-House Marketing (IHM) with Mark Perry in June 1999. IHM is now successfully working in partnership with a range of clients, creating competitive advantage through the delivery of marketing and e-business solutions.


Richard’s career started after graduating in 1975 with Nestlé as a management trainee, spending two years in sales and three years general management of a frozen food distribution centre.

Then during a five-year period with Unilever, Richard enjoyed extensive marketing and brand management training, gaining the professional status of Chartered Marketer. This was followed by three years with Northern Foods plc managing new product development, advertising and PR.

A freelance business career began in 1989, utilising blue-chip consumer goods sales and marketing expertise with manufacturing, service and professional firms.
